Outlook Email Setup

To set up Outlook for , perform the following steps:

  1. In Outlook 2010, click File tab > Account Settings button > Account Settings
    In Outlook 2007, click Tools > Account Settings

  2. Ensure Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP is selected, click Next.
  3. Check the Manually configure server settings or additional server types box.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select Internet E-mail radio button, click Next.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • - Your Name. (This will appear in the From field of messages you send.)
    • - E-mail Address— This must be your entire email address (e.g., [email protected])
    • - Account Type—Select from the drop-down menu.
    • - Incoming mail server: **
    • - Outgoing mail server: **
    • - User Name - This must be your entire email address (e.g., [email protected])
    • - Password—This is the password we have assigned you, unless you have changed it yourself

  7. Click More Settings.
  8. Click the Outgoing Server tab.
  9. Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box. Leave the default setting, Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

  10. Click the Advanced tab.
  11. In both of the Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down menus, select **.
  12. For Incoming server, enter the incoming port: **
  13. For Outgoing server, enter the outgoing port: ** (25 is an optional port number but always try 587 first)
    Note: POP3 removes the email messages from the server. If you would like to leave copies on the server, select the Leave a copy of messages on server check box.

  14. Click OK
  15. Click Next
  16. Click Finish
  17. Click Close.
